AS I TURN 38 THIS YEAR This year, I turn 38, apart from worrying about buying my own presents, cake and everything for my birthday party I am quite happy. Any achievements??? Do I love my life??? I feel beautiful regardless of gravity to my body parts, more beautiful than I felt when I was in my 20’s. I feel achieved… is it sour graping on the next level??? Maybe but who cares…I don’t and it is my life not any other persons… About marriage, This, my one ambition in life is to be married and to take care of my husband and children. I admire and am happy for those that achieve in various fields but my role models are those women who wake up in the morning make breakfast for their families, drop their children, iron their husbands’ shirts etc. Some would laugh and scoff …true , marriage shouldn’t be one’s only achievement …but it is mine. But even after one divorce, I do not feel like a failure neither have I lost hope for my dream. I am not under any pressure to realise this dream ASAP. None whatsoever…there is no race. I have no competitors in my life story because it is mine. I set the pace, change the goal posts and do everything I can to live my OWN LIFE and I choose to do it happily. What do I want for my birthday this year? Not much , just a list of about 38 plus things…lol. But I need a treadmill and want one badly…Being not able to afford one is not going to stop me from wanting one…nor is it going to make me start being sad about my financial situation… or start what if's that go back to 2000 nope. NOPE . Instead, I am hopeful about getting one and it is achievable ...hehehhee my dream car costs Kshs 5 million plus what is a few hundred thousand for a treadmill My name is Winnie,I am a crazy full of life no regrets 38 year old kenyan female with 2 children, lots of clothes and one lovely pair of special shoe I cannot get enough of that I have been putting on for the last seven years for special occasions. I love make up and filters... Just my smile or laugh... The crow's feet and wrinkles...evidence of awesomeness... My biggest achievement is being a mother, provider, a teacher, a friend, a confidant, and many things to my children… As turn 38 years,I do hope that this is the year that I meet that gentleman who'll be having his eggs scrambled in the morning and mine fertilized at night, I hope he treats me well enough to keep my bright demeanor. Water me,love me and give me plenty of sun.
